Halo is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you interact with a Halo-powered chatbot, we collect the text of your questions and the AI-generated responses. Each chat session is assigned a random session ID generated in your browser — we do not link sessions to your identity unless you voluntarily provide personal information in your messages.
When you contact us through our website, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page visited, timestamp) for security and performance monitoring.
Chat data is used to generate answers in real time and to improve the quality of our AI responses over time. We may analyze aggregated, anonymized chat logs to understand common questions and improve our service.
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Server log data is used for security monitoring, debugging, and capacity planning. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Halo uses OpenAI to generate AI responses. Chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API to produce answers. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to this processing — please review their privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Our databases are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Chat session logs are retained for up to 12 months to support analytics and service improvement, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, and no longer than 24 months.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at chatbot@agencybyhalo.com.
The Halo widget uses your browser's localStorage to store a session ID and thread ID. This data never leaves your device except as part of API requests to our servers. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Halo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at chatbot@agencybyhalo.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
